Sguy on MTVs FLUX
And the award for the least animated Flash show goes too… ‘Sguy and the Family Stone.’
It’s not a TV show, but ‘Sguy’ can be seen here, complete with all 11 drawings. As it’s all in Japanese, I’d never know if it was the funniest dialogue since ‘South Park,’ but it’s amazing to see a show with even less animation than ‘South Park.’ ‘Sguy’ is due at the end of the month on FLUX, a new Japanese MTV channel developed exclusively for mobile and online networks. So it’s probably appropriate that the show has very few drawings, because downloading an episode of ‘Samurai Champloo’ would probably take a half hour. ‘Sguy’ began it’s life as webisodes, and I think there’s some inside joke derived from the cover of a Sly and the Family Stone album cover. You can read more about FLUX and ‘Sguy’ on the official press release.
