2005 Flash Forward Champion
The 2005 Flash Forward Film Festival is over, and the winner
of the ‘Cartoon’ award goes to ‘Manege Frei,’ the beautifully animated German short by Dyrdee. I covered the Cartoon division finalists back in June, and you can read my thoughts here. Congrats to everyone in the finals! Exceptional work all around.

I’m glad that entry won. Not that I didnt enjoy the others, but this one people can connect with. Everyone has regrets, and desires, and things they gave up on. That beautiful animation illustrates how we all feel sometimes in life. That’s what makes it special. We all feel. Like the bear.

thing is.. the animation reminds me of .. the last animation job I had.. (sigh*)
