The Lusty Flash Troll

The Chinese animation company Its Cartoon have cooked up the first installment in a series that I believe is titled either ‘Donghua’ or ‘Xuanyuan.’ The plot seems very similar to ‘PUCCA,’ the Korean Flash-animated show that will soon air on the European Jetix network. It’s a tale of failed romance, much like in ‘Donghua,’ but here we follow a green troll in pursuit of a cute, furry-esque girl. In this first installment, we see our troll suitor fail and fail again - all nested between some fairly adult humor. It’s a trend I’ve seen from the Chinese, Japanese and Korean animation markets - shows that, on the surface, appear young-skewing, but the addition of adult themes like sex and romance seem to hint of an older target. The show is hosted at the Chinese animation portal Joypark, which currently shows 4 vacant slots, leading me to believe that we can expect several more installments from this horny, love-struck troll.
