David Lynch’s Dumbland
I haven’t picked up the most recent issue of Juxtapoz Magazine,
but there’s reportedly an article about David Lynch and his Flash animated series ‘Dumbland.’ The series is behind a sub-wall on his site, but you can buy the compilation DVD for $27.52 (even the price is creepy) on his site.
David calls himself self-taught, but I have in good authority that he was tutored by Tony Candelaria in the dark Flash arts many, many years ago.

This was the most stupid, terribly animated, werthless short i have ever seen in my entire life, and i mean that in the best possible way.

I saw a few of the Dumbland shorts a while back, before Lynch decided to charge for content. In a word: awful. Vulgar and obscene and on par with the stick figure, “fuck you” flash bombs on the newgrounds site.

If you want the real gossip that you wont find at Lynch.com, he called me one day and asked if I could get a girl in a pink sweater to teach him flash. I couldnt fit in any I had, so he had to deal with me.
