Happy Tree Ski

The gang up at Mondo Media have just released another episode of ‘Happy Tree Friends.’ There’s a healthy amount of blood and gore to satisfy the faithful, and I really enjoyed the ‘tough decision’ moment as the avalanche closed in. This episode is titled ‘Ski Ya Wouldn’t Wanna Be Ya,’ and it clocks in around 4 minutes. From where I sit, I think this series does well in the longer format. What do you all think?

And for those you paying far too much attention to detail, you may have noticed a certain character on the watch-face in one scene. It’s Cro-Marmot, the Flash-animated creation of Mill Valley-based artist Lippy. He’s a member of the HTF army, and this is an apparent homage to his original work.

The Happy Tree Friends are simply too painful to watch. Too much gore, too little humor.

Parts of the animation and design appeal to me, but I agree with Ian: I can’t really watch these with any zeal.

As for it being longer, I was hoping for a more legitimate story instead of a bigger setup for the same grotesque ending. They don’t have characters, they have victims.

We’re co-producing the longer format TV series for Happy Tree Friends here at Fatkat Animation Studios. I can assure you that the longer format (7 minutes) holds alot more entertainment value then the shorter web series episodes.

These episodes hold far more story and alot of room for character development and acting.

I do hope you’ll check them out when they begin to air, I think you’ll be pleasently surprised.

What up with the animation and music?
Seams more like Cartoon Monsoon Style. Am I wrong?

    Oh PS
That MISS WASHINGTON is doing some bad things to that Arrow she is holding.
