Animax Brings Home the Hardware

Animax Entertainment just scored one of
the few Emmy Awards ever given to a Flash production. Last night they were presented the trophy for Outstanding Achievement in Content For Non-Traditional Delivery Platform for their work on ESPN.com’s ‘Off Mikes.’ The ceremony was held at the Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City and Charles Barkley, the legendary professional basketball player, presented them with the award. This was all part of the 27th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, and Al Rosson was the lead animator on the project. Congrats to everyone and to Animax chief Michael Bellavia, who sent me a giddy email from the ceremony last night that included this wish - “long live Flash!” Indeed.
Tim Jones, who was credited as Animation Producer on the project, was interviewed here back last summer.
