Scotty, what problems have you had with keyboard shortcuts? I’ve got tons of commands I’ve assigned shortcuts to, and though there are some bugs with editing shortcuts I’ve found them pretty easy to avoid.

I’m using F8 and overall like it very much – it still needs more animation features if it wants to contend with the likes of say Toon Boom products (which I am starting to learn and love). I’m more excited for F9 for reasons I am not allowed to disclose publicly here – but as they say when it comes to using tools, it’s not the arrow it’s the Indian.

Flash8 had all the same bugs and glitches as the last versions, but took up far more memory. Bleugh.

There’s too many bugs. It’s nearly impossible to edit the keyboard shortcuts to include all the Commands I use. A ridiculous thing like that keeps me from using it at all.
I wish they’d post an update.

I guess it depends on how you animate, but I think Flash 8 is the best version yet for animators. The custom ease, the blend options, the streamlined interface, larger work area, better bitmap scaling, and of course support for plugins

The brush tool also works better with Wacom pens, at least on my Tablet PC.
