Cold Hard Re-Launch

The first major re-launch of Cold Hard Flash has arrived. 
If this isn’t your first time here, you’re probably noticing a complete and unrestrained acceptance of Communism. Guilty as charged. The new look and feel was inspired by propaganda posters from China, Germany and the former USSR.
So it’s entirely appropriate that the launch of the Community section marks this event. These message boards are a major step forward for CHF, and some of the bigger names in the Flash animation community have already begun posting. The vision for these boards actually has a communal/socialist purpose - sharing of information, assets and animation. For instance - the ‘Creative Co-op’ is a section where we can share files like FLAs - effects, templates or even commonly used assets.
One unique functionality within the message boards is the ability to attach YouTube and SWF files, which are both explained in the FAQ section. You can see examples of this over at the boards now, but to participate, you’ll need to register and retrieve your confirmation email (make sure to check your Spam Folder).
The search is on for section moderators. Please email aaron[at]coldhardflash.com if you’re interested, and include which section of the boards most interests you along with a few sentences about yourself and your Flash animation experience.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who participated in the soft-launch over the last week. Your feedback and interest helped immensely.
So go get started, citizen. Flash animators of the world - UNITE!

The new site is pretty sweet, but at the risk of sounding reminiscent of the ancient McCarthy debacle I would like to think that this great design is more a complete and unrestrained acceptance of “communist design sensibilities” rather than the philosophy itself - unless of course you truly do embrace communism - then so be it. Still, an awesome job!

Fair enough, Alan. My wife actually grew up in communist Czech Republic, and she’s confirmed for me that there is indeed nothing romantic about that form of government. I was meerly jesting. Regardless, consider your adjustment to my post accepted.
