Pacheco’s Gin Joint
Nate Pacheco’s work has been mentioned here several times, but his fake ad for Bombay Gin never received the welcoming it deserved. It was posted over on his blog back in March, and he noted that he and Renegade Animation chief-creative, Darrell Van Citters, were illustrating a point - simple can be good. Well, it is simple, and it is extremely good. Point taken!

Beautiful animation, er, not so sure about emphasising something named Bombay as British though.
Dunno, we’re all messed up about that kind of thing at the moment.

Bombay Sapphire originated in Hamilton, Bermuda in 1987 but part of it’s marketing has always been that it alludes to ‘fictional’ orgins in the British Raj. Gawd save the Queen.
Mother’s ruin indeed.
Great ad. Bloody marvelous. I think the nice thing here is that it’s simplicity allows you to take in the wonderful backgrounds too.
