Death, Kitty and the Fat Man
Wow!
A second great Flash-animated short from Weebls-stuff.com today. This one from out of nowhere. I’ve never heard of this Malaysian animator who goes by Megat Diam. His real name seems to be Daim Dziauddin (pronounced “dime xiao-dane”), and he’s a graduate of the University of Portsmouth, and of Fat Lizard, a studio in Malaysia that’s done some strong Flash work.
His short is called Death, Kitty and the Fat Man, and it’s just gorgeous. On his website, Daim explains how it came together…
This was for my final year project, and I wanted mine to be heavily story-driven so that it can be submitted for animation festivals. Drawn frame-by-frame using traditional animation method. Done in Macromedia Flash.

Wow, very well done. Has inspired me to continue working on flash animations and try harder. Most enjoyable part of it for me was the music in the background, gave it some great depth for a funny little animation. ^^

wow, I’m a student at high school in Australia and I’m very interested in doing Animation at university next year and digital graphics. I found out about this animation in the latest issue of computer arts, which does come to Australia funnily enough, and I just had to se it. I love the introduction, and I agree with ‘griffith’ the music was amazing and added a lot to the animation. Fantastic work, the effects are amazing!
