AOL Rolls Out Slammo and Sloshie
AOL Comedy recently released a new animated comedy series called Slammo and Sloshie. I don’t think they’ve made an official announcement yet, but there’s a long series set-up and two episodes posted on the website.
Sloshie (voiced by Hal Lubin) is a Kermit-like puppet with a heart of gold and a helium addiction, while Slammo (Jaime Seibert) is a cussing, pain-freak with a short fuse. These two are the hosts of a TV-review show called Slammo and Sloshie’s Super Sexy Interstellar TV Jamboree for a mysterious corporation named Keaton Transworld. In the first episode they touch on Fox’s 24 and the second episode, titled The Savage Slaying of the Cavalcade of Carefree, briefly discusses HBO’s The Sopranos.
The series, which was created by Sloane Korach, mixes 2D Flash animation with 3D environments and camera work. Animax Entertainment handled the Flash end (several CHF regulars joined in - like Dave Wolfe and Warren Fuller) and Shadedbox Animations provided the 3D animation.
For more on the show, check in on the Slammo and Sloshie blog.

looks good and shows off a nice mix of 3D and 2D.
The camera moves show alot of depth in some scenes, which gives it a nice production quality. But watch that you don’t push the camera too far in the angle and the length of the move.
As some shots take me out of the piece because their too extreme or distracting.
GOod value, me likey.
lots of love,
gene

If the producers had spent as much time on “character design” as they did on the 3-D/after effects/camera moves.. this would be a half decent show!

I know I’m late to the comment party, but thanks for pointing a spotlight on “Slammo & Sloshie”.
We aren’t officially launched yet, and as Dave rightfully suggested, it can’t happen soon enough. But when it’s official, I hope everyone will check out the entire nine episodes as they roll out.
Thanks again!
