Ghostbot Makes Robots For Attaboy
Attaboy, the artist, illustrator, magazine co-creator and toy designer, has a new cartoon on his hands - in fact it’s his first. Too Many Robots is the most recent release from Disney Channel’s Shorty McShorts’ Shorts project, and this particular project was animated by Ghostbot.

HAHAHAH
Yeah I hear you mick. It’s all the same isn’t it? Storylines that is. It’s ok, it looks real hot though. I love the design, snappy animation, I think it’s the bees knees looky wise.
But as Mick knows it, it’s not anything too innovative eh? Mick and Iused to laugh that every cartoon for these days revolves around getting a date for the prom.
Anyway, it looks good. Mick might think otherwise, but I think it’s executed well. I just think the story is like everything else out there. kids formula #21: Date for the prom.
The nice canadian.

I agree Gene, it looks way cool but the story is sooo weak and “done before”!! Where are the jokes?

WOW that’s really great. attaboy, attaboy. and some sweet animation from the ghostbot crew!!!
having worked with Andy Suriano and the Disney folks on one of these (did “dodger dare” air yet, U.S. folks? )
I know Disney is going for a “gender neutral teen audience”
prom is a staple of their other shows like lizzy maguire and Raven…
It’s good to remember that what YOU have seen a million times, is new to a KID. If they made cartoons for the few thousand codger animation geeks, they wouldn’t be the hugely successful corporation they are.
All of today’s cartoons center around kids. Kids are so self absorbed nowadays, that the media has to.. um maybe kids are self absorbed because of today’s media?
bring back the talking animals, they had bowties and jobs!

Agreed Murray, It’s all been done before, but not by you or me (viariously speaking)And there’s always some new kid each year who’s going through the trials and tribulations that he can relate to in such cartoons.
I guess it’s just frusterating to us that after we see these cartoons and experience our own proms that we keep seeing the same shit every year.
Mick and I both have some very different ideas on what makes a great cartoon. but of course they appeal to our own personal pallete and probably not to Disney.
Start Plug -
Although I know Jetix took a big interest in one of our nutty shows. Created actually by Mick Harrison called “shadowboy” (we’ll be doing a pilot this summer actually (stay tooned!)
- end plug.
The clip shows great design and animation, period. It’s beautiful to watch.
good job ghostbot, me likey!
gene-face.
