Chubby Dee Cycle in Anime Studio
Jayson Thiessen has been discussing the benefits of Flash-competitor Anime Studio on his blog Super Saiko. He’s now putting his stylus to the test, animating a short walk cycle for his character Chubby Dee.
Here’s the original Chubby Dee short, Stale Sale, which was animated in Flash.

Moho has a few things going for it- namely the armature set up and the native camera. It’s also cheaper than flash.
The thing that is keeping me from even considering switching over is the fact that you can only download a trial for the basic version and not the pro. The basic version is made intentionally difficult to use. On top of that, the few tutes available are for the pro version, and there are enough differences between the two versions that the tutes are almost useless with the basic setup.

Jayson, I wish my finished animations looked as good as your tests! The clip with the log headed creature is awesome.
