Lang’s Modul Should Fit In At Festivals

posted by aaron, 7.09 PM

Max Lang, a German student at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, has created a beautiful parable about fitting in, conformity and the power of independent thinking. Modul is a 4-minute Flash-animated short without dialog, but the message comes through loud and clear – complete with exceptional timing and engaging sound design. Lang and the film’s producer Stina McNicholas have created a highly enjoyable short that will likely land many international awards.

I’m a sucker for robots. This is really good. I especially like the pacing of the story and timing of the animation… and the sound design. Not a big fan of films with an obvious message though. As a FLASH film, it is one of the best I’ve seen. Excellent job!
