Over the weekend, a friend of mine asked if I knew of any Flash-animated anime. I struggled but remembered Jimmy Su’s Shoo Fly, but not much more. Then this morning I checked into Newgrounds.com, and watched the current #1 rated animation - Project Freetown : Metropolis Circuit. Ryan Miller, or rtil as he goes by, utilized a high drawing count, and an obvious appreciation for series like FLCL to create this fast-paced action short. It’s the first in a series of Freetown shorts, and Miller has already started on the second episode.
