Playhouse Disney’s Happy Monster Band
Over on Allison Craig’s blog, I read about the latest Titmouse Inc. project - the Happy Monster Band. This is an original animated short-form series on Playhouse Disney, and it features a voting component. According to a press release, “starting October 12, preschoolers and their caregivers will be able to go online to vote for their favorite songs. The highest rated songs will be revealed on-air in a special Halloween Happy Monster Band Top Five Countdown.” Here’s a song titled I’m the Best at Being Me:

hmmm…I thought I was the best at being me.
Good concept, positive stuffings is all good and nice, but it’s hardly unique or original. There are other shows that do it better.
HOWEVER, there is something strangely addictive about the lead dude and his voice. the designs match I find.
good job and snappy animation in parts. yum.

The Happy Monster Band is actually a group by the name of Tally Hall out of Michigan - they are awesome. They were just signed by Atlantic Records and are on tour now. I love the band. They are a mix between The Beatles, Barenaked Ladies, and Queen. Check them out.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. The characters and concept were created by yours truly. For more of my work go to…

Can anyone tell me who does the voice of Da (the Simon Cowell-esque judge)? He sounds like one of the voices in World of Warcraft to me - I was just curious.

Just like Mike, same thing here… we look forward to those segments! Hubby had the ‘monster chores’ song stuck in his head the whole day at work. lol
