3 years ago at the beginning of a classical animation course, Bruce Knox was introduced to us as a guest speaker from "The Industry". This was one of our first forays with someone who was out there and doing what we hoped to one day be doing. His speech began...

What followed was a No-Holds-Barred, violently brutal truthfulness about the world we wanted to enter. We got the perks, perils and pitfalls of animation illustrated to us in Knox' vibrantly colourful language.

He told us exactly what a newcomer should be told when embarking on a new venture. And it is definitely a speech I am glad to have heard.

PS: I am particularly glad to have heard his talk as it was deemed to be too colourful (and honest)for new animation students and the following talks he gave were toned downed to a murky sepia.
