Edwin Crosby Sells The Senior Whizz
So often this space is reserved for the best-of-breed Flash animation - great designs, excellent motion and overall high quality production. Edwin Crosby: The Senior-Whizz isn’t going to win any animation awards, but there’s some funny timing and wry humor in here that begged to be shared. I had a tough time figuring out the animator’s name, but I think he’s a 15-year old out of the UK.

If the Simpsons can win animation awards, there is no reason this one can’t. It reminds me of the Simpsons, and that isn’t bad.

That was pretty funny! The animation was limited, but it was timed pretty well!

I haven’t watched enough Family Guy to know whether this is ripping off the Simpsons or Family Guy more.
This reminds me of bands that copy Oasis. The Beatles listened to Muddy Waters and Elvis and BB King and people like that, then ELO listened to the Beatles, then Oasis listened to ELO then people listen to Oasis and they have no idea where the music comes from and the creativity has been reduced to the smallest decreasing circle imaginable.
That said for a 15 year old this is very impressive.

Very clever.
Bentos, I think you got it wrong: Oasis ripped off Neil Innes. The Gallagher brothers learned the hard way that if you reverse engineer a Beatles song you end up with a Rutles tune.

Thanks for posting this!

kongobot, I don’t think the Gallagher brothers ever learnt a God damn thing!

i’m a fan of edwin’s stuff, i’ve seen it all on newgrounds. i love how he plays with the camera in his flash.. he’s got a good grasp of things that make the humour in his flash very sophisticated. sure, he’s not the best animator around yet.. but he’s already better than a lot of animators just because of these things he’s naturally good at. that salesman character cracks me up!

I’d say Family Guy. Great timing, though.
