Salesgenie Gets Animated For the Super Bowl
Terry Thoren, the onetime CEO of Klasky Csupo, and his Malaysia-based animation studio Rocket Fish have produced a series of Super Bowl TV commercials for the sales leads provider Salesgenie.com.
Creative:Mint, a boutique branding & advertising agency, tapped Rocket Fish and animation director Mike Milo, who, according to Animation Magazine, aimed to give the commercials “an early UPA and Hanna-Barbera look.” Below you can watch two of the 5 spots Milo directed for Rocket Fish.

looks good,I really like the UPA style in the office one,i didn’t catch it durring the superbowl, but that is some prime time for advertising, and its always great to see some animation in there.
The new site looks good Aaron,I especially like the mascot character, looks good

I dig the style on this, as with most flash animation, but I can’t help but feel that the ridiculous accents might be a bit offensive to some.

I like the new site too Aaron…Just so everyone knows… I didn’t write these and voiced my objection about the voices. I only designed and directed them. Based on his statements, clearly the CEO wanted to get attention by adding the offensive voice to it. All in all I directed 5 Sales Genie commercials; none of the others had ethnic voices in them. Whether they’ll ever air or not I don’t know but if they don’t I’ll for sure post them on my site because I like the way they came out… I feel bad for the people who were offended by these but as Aaron knows I’m always finding unwanted trouble one way or another.
