An Animated Chapter From Sukki’s Story
In 2005, Hong Kong based artist Thomas Leung created a very personal animated short titled Sukki’s Story. It’s a touching, thoughtful piece, and Leung obviously crafted the short with a great deal of love and attention. He utilized a labyrinth of software to bring the film to life, including Flash, which was used to rotoscope live-action footage.
In this assembly, Leung illustrates the process he used in creating the film.

Scene 05 “traveling shot” is a knockout. It impressed me in the short film and seeing how it was accomplished, I am even more impressed. Great work, Thomas. Thanks for the insight into your film’s production.
