Uhmmm… clearly this series concerns school violence… So is it for or against?

I can see how this series can easily be taken out of context. However, I think this series represents a humorous outcry on the Chinese school system. No harm done. Right?

I was admiring the sets and character design and for that reason stuck with the film longer than I should have. I bailed midway through the torture sequence; it was just too painful to watch. If the film has an anti-violence message it is about as effective as ‘Natural Born Killers.’

It’s more of just a commentary on the situation, I think, but I think it is anti-violence. A sort of violence-begets-violence message, so abuse towards students is bound to just make things worse. That’s what I got from it. And I think the animation was very well done.

Since I don’t speak or read Chineese I wasn’t influenced or offended in anyway. I laughed a few times but probably for the wrong reasons. I stuck around for the entire show because visually, it looked amazing. Hutoons client got more then they paid for.
