I forgot to mention that the range exhibited from the shorts this year just proves that flash is just another tool, and it is completely up to the artist how it is used.

Make sure to keep a heads-up for the films to come!

Hey all,

Great to hear good buzz around our film! There were a lot f films created in flash (including my own, Unicycle Joe) - with varying styles and approaches. Some used symbols and Tweens, others animated completely traditionally, and oftentimes, the films that did were virtually indistinguishable from the pencil-on-paper films.

There's no guarantee that all the films will go online, but some of the flash films that come to mind are Alex Cote's "Scorbu", Jeff Allen's "Bindle Stiff", Robin hall's "bubblegum bullet", Marko Bajic's "Space Cowboy", Jordan Wan's "Ka-boom", Karen gunter's "Spelling Pee", Tobias Kwan's film (no title really), and a handful more that I'm sure I'll be mad I forgot to mention.

All around really great stuff and I'm really proud of our year.

Impressive work from both filmmakers. 'One on One' is very funny and the backgrounds and character designs are awesome.

'Persephone’s Flight' is a wonderful short. I especially like how the 'dialog' was handled. Great character design and backgrounds. Ewen says in his self-critique that's he's not much of a painter but I'd never be able to tell. After reading his critique I watched the short again and I still don't see the problems. Perhaps any 'mistakes' are disquised by a story well told.

Looking forward to seeing more from these talented filmmaers.
