Shepherd Drinks In Burgundy’s Performance
Matt Shepherd, a 26-year old animator living in Nova Scotia, put together this lively 15-second re-imagining of Will Ferrell’s character Ron Burgundy. I spotted this at Ron Doucet’s wonderful blog.

Now this is some good Flash animation! And it’s not kung-fu/ninja/samurai/karate related!!
Gad, I’m so sick of ninjas.

Yeah, that’s more in the line of traditional animation… though a little on the limited side… But When I think of traditional animation, I think of secondary action, follow through, anticipation…
… Sure some of the guy is made up of held cells but that sometimes happened in old Warner Brothers Cartoon as well….
Very lively, and very fluid… not like some other things out there claiming to be “traditional”

very nice. I agree with Scotty A, I’m tired of ninjas and kung fu and blah blah blah blah… this is good though.

Great frigging work.

Love it! Some people make it look so easy.
And I second the ninja thing. Ninjas will always rule, but it is getting tiring.

I also applaud Scotty A. You are so right. Enough with the goddam kung fu ninja samurai derivative cack please. Just changing the animal or outfit does not make it new. Enough.
Scotty A, I salute you.
On this animation, great work, loads of character. I really like it.
