weRbopbop – a New Guilty Pleasure

weRbopbop is the completely unhinged creation of the Conley brothers – Sebastian and Ben. There’s nothing groundbreaking about the animation in this online series, but the rapid fire comedy mixed with strong timing put this one in my must-watch pile.

This politically themed episode, titled Back-door to the Future, is very, very NOT SAFE FOR WORK. You get goatse’d for crying out loud.

these cartoons are giving me headaches.

really bad 8bit soundtrack, cussing little critters and sex driven jokes dont always work. i am happy that the show found some fans, i just think it really really sucks.

Hmmm – a crudely produced flash cartoon. Pretty original

yeah, its not going to be my guilty pleasure. Aaron, I thought your site was for the best in flash animation, and not just (more or less) controversial animation.

This would have been spot on if they didn’t put that grose bitmap in there 3:22 inward. Interestingly that 322 is an occult number as well.

    hmm. ;\

this might be the most original animation i’ve seen…based on requests?!!! and they really get the requests right….damn thanks for the heads up Aaron!

  7. Rudy Says:

agreed…yeah the animation isn’t amazing and the sound isn’t pro…but the voice overs are great and after watching most of the episodes they seem to put these out rapidly (for two guys?!), which makes me forgive the quality…the request concept is visionary and the eps are funny and topical so…seeing the website made that clear to me…it is also clear that they have an audience.

Aaron, I like that you posted this one. It’s good to know what’s out there. I think the request concept is clever (and I also like the humor). Whether it’s not notch animation or not, it potentially could become part of pop-culture. And we’ll have seen it HERE first! =)

ya, it’s not the typical CHF post, but it made me laugh and they’re churning out episodes by the fist-full.
