Captain Cudney Sets Sail
At this year’s Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), Kyle Marshall’s Triumphant Campaigns Of Captain Cudney had it’s world premiere in the Canadian Showcase. I recently watched the entire 4-minute, Flash-animated film, which is still touring the festival circuit, and thoroughly enjoyed his tale of a lovelorn Captain on the uncharted seas, in search of his abducted lover. Marshall, who holds a character design job at Mercury Filmworks on shows such as Gerald Mcboing Boing and Jimmy Two Shoes, worked on the film for about a year and half, according to a recent Metro News article. Below you can view a :50 second trailer for the film, which we promise to show you in its entirety when it becomes available.

Fantastic trailer. I thought that was the whole piece and was thinking how beautifully concise the storytelling was. Glad there’s more pretty to see though.
