Aaron Stewart is a master of the flat, graphic look that Flash production is so often paired with, but in this latest series of spots for Fulton Bank, he adds textures to create a fresh look. In total, he directed 4 spots for the bank campaign, which was produced out of Hornet Inc, and overseen by the agency Pavone. Stewart had help from Jonathan Carroll and Efrain Cintron on the animation front. Here’s the spot titled Leverage:
If the world must end, let’s hope the team at Passion Pictures is somehow involved – ‘cuz this looks like fun. The short is titled Happy New End, a silly romp about impending doom in 2012. The five directors, Jack, Kalkair, Pozla, Waterlili and Moke, are part of a collective that go by the name Bonzom. I can’t be certain that this was produced in Flash, but I know the team has used the software before.
Today’s Inaugural ceremony in Washington D.C. was surely the main event of President Obama’s ascent to power, but yesterday kids got their own celebration on Disney Channel. Kids’ Inaugural: We Are the Future was a 1:30 hour event that featured several live performances, but viewers were also treated to some animated comedy, produced by the Presidential Inaugural Committee. The America’s Next White House Dog shorts aired before and after commercial breaks, spoofing FOX’s hit series American Idol. Hollywood-based animation studio Six Point Harness created the four shorts, which are all assembled end-to-end in this clip below.
The Dublin-based studio Brown Bag Films utilized Flash this past October to mimic the stop-motion look. For Trocaire’s holiday card campaign, the team added the subtle sense of depth to this spot, titled Global Gift.
How about a catchy music video this fine Monday morning – to help kick you in the arse? This video for the band People People, titled We Are People People, was storyboarded, directed and animated by Maik Hempel, with color styling by Adele Thomas. They’re graduates of Queensland College of Art, and are obviously fans of the commie-vibe we CHF folks love so much.
