Hope For Vanarts Student Animation

posted by aaron, 7.40 AM

I think we may have overdosed a bit on “hope” last year, but a 2D animation student at Vanarts in Vancouver has put his own spin on the emotion with this Flash-animated film below titled… Hope. The short was written, designed, animated and directed by Fernando H Gama Cintra, who originally hails from Brazil. Those painterly backgrounds sure give me “hope” that 2D digital animation is here to stay.

    great design…

  2. Andyman Says:

Yeah, the designs are really cool. Great colors too. The animation’s a little weak in spots, but really great work regardless!

I second what Andyman and Joe say! Great design!

Fernando had less than a couple months in his 4th term to make a Flash film. He rose above and beyond. We usually recommend 30 to 45 seconds and a couple bgs (one a scene comp/ set-up). One and 3/4 minutes and multiple bgs, editing and this is the result. Not bad? Fantastic! Vanarts is proud of him!

If he is a student and this is his work he has a bright future….
