I wouldn’t read too much into this as a political statement about President Obama (or is it O’bama?), but I do suspect the US Treasury is looking a little bare these days. Below is JibJab’s St. Patrick’s Day Sendable short, which you can reskin with your own photos and send to your friends. There’s at least one wink in this short – the pub at the beginning is named “O’Brians” which I suspect is a nod to JibJab’s neighbors in Santa Monica – O’Brien’s Irish Pub & Restaurant.

Hornet Inc’s Santa Maria (a twosome consisting of Josh Goodrich and David Hill), recently chewed through a new viral spot for Dentyne gum. The result of their work is a 1-minute, Flash-animated short titled Blog Smog for Dentyne’s Make Face Time campaign. And of course – they’re ganging up on me and my fellow bloggers. While we may disregard our hygiene here and there, we’re curing people of the horrible scourge of boredom, dammit! The ad, which was produced for the McCann-Erickson agency, was animated in Flash and composited in After FX.

Mike Parker’s animated comedy is slowly seeping into every corner of the web. He and his brother Andy first found success with their animated series at CollegeUniv.com, then Parker teamed up with CollegeHumor.com in an ongoing shorts adventure, and then his Player Haters series was picked up by JustForLaughs.com. What’s next – a comedy/travel series on Orbitz? Here’s two of his latest Flash-animated episodes:

Player Haters – Pellet Poppin

Condomned – first of a 3-part episode sponsored by Trojan

Joanna Priestley’s latest film is a 4-minute, Flash-animated poem on the topic of proofreading. The script for Missed Aches was written and narrated by Taylor Mali, a poetry slam champion, and the original poem is titled The The Impotence of Proofreading. Priestly directed, produced and animated the piece, and she had help from Brian Kinkley on the animated text. Here’s a segment from the short.
