SuperNews Ready For Half Hour Run
As we reported here on CHF back in November, Current’s animated series SuperNews is readying a whole new run of half-hour episodes. Our response to that was “der – of course.” We’ve loved SuperNews since we saw The Immigration Debate, so this leap to long-form is overdue. Series creator, writer and EP Josh Faure-Brac calls this new order of shows “dangerous,” so expect the gloves to slide off, and the brass knuckles to slide on. Celebrities and politicians appear to get their fair share of pies in the face, but like the shorts, technology gets a center seat in the dunk tank, including Friendster, Emoticons and Twitter (“I forgot how much I like pickles”). The half-hour episodes premiere on March 20th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Current TV and Current.com. Current is currently seen in more than 51 million households. Here’s a teaser:
