The Fatkat crew in Miramichi, New Brunswick have been hard at work on a new Flash-animated series that is set to start production later this year. It’s titled Leo & the Pisa Gang, and it was created by Winfried Debertin – the guy who created the European series Little Amadeus. So the show had that decidedly European look, but it’s produced almost “traditionally” in Flash. The demo below was produced by Robbie Anderson and directed by Tavis Silbernagel.

GS Animation, a studio in Poland, created this new, Flash-animated short titled The Agronaut. It’s a dialog-free story about the trials of colonists on other planets who are attempting to sustain the human population. [NSFW - mild nudity]

New adult-oriented animation is popping up everywhere. Sit Down, Shut Up bows on FOX this Sunday, ABC’s The Goode Family kicks off on May 27th – and this Sunday, Canada will tune into Bob & Doug. The project was spearheaded by Animax Entertainment, who initially produced animated versions of the SCTV characters for the 2002 DVD release of Strange Brew. Seven years later, as the TV series rolls out, it goes to show you how determination can win out. The Flash-animated half-hour series premieres this Sunday on Global TV at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, sandwiched between American Dad and Family Guy. Congrats, Animax!
