SuperNews Tackles Terrorism in 1776
SuperNews has heretofore done a brilliant job of skewering everything from technology and politics to dating, but in their latest segment, titled Terrorism in 1776, Josh Faure Brac and his team have revealed their most controversial commentary yet. It’s a rather transparent parallel between the independence movement that founded the USA and our current conflicts in throughout the Middle East. It’s touchy territory, as many will surely read this as support for the underdogs of Al Qaeda and the Taliban. However, I suspect that this episode isn’t justifying the “terrorist’s” methods or ideology, but instead poking a hole in our good vs. evil approach to handling these types of conflicts.
