Renmotion’s Suren Perera (Dirk Breaka) recently directed a series of 1-minute, Flash-animated Monster Auditions for the Australian TV network SBS. Perera and Stu Connolly created the concept. Here’s one of the 10 shorts, titled Phil.

The talented team at Titmouse Inc. (feature deal? wow!) recently produced a new Flash-animated music video for the rock band The Fray. It’s for their cover of Kanye’s Heartless. Allison Craig, Ryan Deluca, Tony Andrade, Dave Gerhard, Dave Vandervoort, and Keith Yan all chipped in on the project.

Joel Trussell, the brilliant animator behind the War Photographer video and multiple Morcheeba videos has struck again. This time its for Gossip, and their track Love Long Distance. It’s quite the creative production, mapping digital animation onto live action footage from the roller rink. Mike and Anna Hollingsworth helped out on the animation, much as they did on Trussell’s previous project. Trussell is rep’d by One Small Step.

As we noted here last month, Seb Burnett (Bertram Fiddle) and Joe Wood (Suburban Myths) have teamed up on a new animated series. Here’s the first episode, titled Julian Sweeney and his Teeny Weeny Genie.

The 5th episode of Frank and Phil Summers’ online series Shamoozal was released this week. How to Hook Up the NES is a bit of a deviation from the more story-based format we’ve seen in the first 4 episodes. I enjoyed the stories, but I suspect this how-to episode, or one like it, will be the one to break it out on YouTube. If the episode’s reception at Newgrounds is any indication, they’ve got a hit on their hands.
