O’Hara Hopes to Steal Top Prize
Using the supplied audio clip from O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Chris O’Hara crafted this submission for the January 11 Second Club competition. We’ll know the results soon, but the February competition is already under way – this time using a music clip.

Pretty neat.
Can’t wait to see the entries for January later today.

Did the characters positions on the tree switch around when the cat starts speaking? And did the cat steal the “dog” of the “bone”?
Neat designs though.

Very nice. This guy sure does knows how to animate. And this guy sure does knows how to design characters. And this guy sure does know how to color design.

And this guy sure does know how to violate the 180 degree rule.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s really good, but going from the first shot of the cats’ backs immediately to their fronts is jarring, especially with square characters.

good one… sure there was no reason to have their backs to the viewer at all but it wasn’t all that bothersome… i actually just sat up and said ‘well now…’ and that’s a good thing
more of this type of thing

Fonce- are you insane? This clip is an absolute joy to behold. Oh no…did it break your precious 180 rule?? Were you thrown into a upside-down, black-is-white dreamland of illogical film language when O’hara committed his crime against the cinematography police? It’s INCREDIBLY clear- one cat is small and brown and holding a huge bone, the other is large and blue. The cut is a stylistic choice, and O’hara is one hell of a stylist. The only “rule” that this clip is violating is the “don’t make Fonce Falooda Jealous” rule.
