Shion Takeuchi’s CalArts Film When The Time Is Ripe
Fourth year student Shion Takeuchi’s mixed-media short When The Time Is Ripe closed this year’s CalArts Character Animation Producer’s Show. It was one of the funnier shorts screened that night, and a great, upbeat note to hit as the curtains closed. Flash was used for the eye and mouth animation, and then motion-tracked onto the puppets.
