Brooklyn’s San Charoenchai produced this 3-minute short for the Philips Cinema TV Parallel Lines contest, which was accepting entries up until yesterday. Charoenchai tells the tale of a filmmaker revealing his work to a movie studio boss. He used Flash, After Effects and Softimage XSI. His short, which makes interesting use of half-tone patern and texture, is titled Quality Control.
Chris Voigt has delivered the 3rd episode in his Pleasure Island series, which is just slightly more unhinged than your typical reality show. You’ll probably want to soak in episode 1 and episode 2 first.
With 20 billion tweets being twittered everyday, we’re all apparently aware of how it works. For those who want to brush up on the micro-blogging phenomenon or for the last 3 remaining hold-outs, here’s Stephen Grant’s latest Blinklife short, How to Twitter. It was animated by LSM, a team composed of Tom Matuszewski, Kit Hown Man and Scott Weston.

Titmouse, Inc. produced a two-part animated Scott Pilgrim short for Adult Swim, which will premiere on the network later this month. Scott Pilgrim vs. The Animation is sorta like a “motion comic,” but the Titmouse gang didn’t crap out on the animation – it’s well acted and reasonably full-looking. Here’s a clip:

Remember last year’s TELETOON Detour Pilot Project? It featued 10 new series pilots, including Angora Napkin, Ninjamaica and Nerdland, which ended up getting the most viewer votes. I hadn’t yet watched Dunce Bucket, the animated sketch show.
