Timoon Introduces Scary Larry
This spring we learned that MTV is set to bring Teen Wolf back, this time in a less comedic form. It’s not surprising, what with wolves and vampires back in fashion again. Along those lines, here’s a new series titled Scary Larry. There’s no word on whether or not this was picked up for series, but here’s a short sequence Timoon Animation and Mercury Filmworks co-produced using Toon Boom.
In related news, Toon Boom has also announced their Myouterspace Contest hosted by none other than…. Shatner!

Looks smooth! Great work!

The animation is probably the best thing about this. How many individual tuffs of hair did they make into a symbol?!! This is the closest we’ve gotten to mimicking hand-drawn animation in a digital program.

Wow! Very nicely done! I love the “full” look to the animation.

I was gonna say, this is the best flash animation I’ve seen in a long time. And then I saw that it was toon boom. I think I have to finally make the switch!

I don’t know who Timoon is, but that was all animated at Mercury Filmworks. I was there a few months ago visiting an animator buddy of mine from school and he was working on this at the time. Turned out fantastic!

@Chris: It’s the typical uninspired executive influence. Sadly, this trailer reeks of it.

I’m not familiar with the source material but the show is apparently based off a comic and judging from covers I’ve seen these characters are in a band.

Oh wow! I don’t know anything about the concept for this show, but I haven’t seen anything this visually exciting in Flash/similar for kids’ TV since I first Saw “Fosters…” – this gives me hope! Good job!!
