Nacho Rodríguez (Mr. Coo) has released a new music video for the band Klaus & Kinski. Rodríguez was joined on the project by Gina Thorstensen and Emma Kidd, and the team employed a rather elaborate process on the video. First, Rodríguez animated the skeletons of the characters in Flash, Thorstensen printed and ‘clothed’ the characters, and then this was all re-assmbled in Flash along with Kidd’s backgrounds. The track is titled El Rey del Mambo y la Reina de Saba.

The second season of The Ricky Gervais Show premiered last week on HBO (9:00-9:30 p.m. ET/PT), and the full, Flash-animated episode, titled Clive Warren, is now online. The series is animated in-house at W!LDBRAIN, and some crew details are below.

The Madrid-based studio called Trimono recently finished an animated short called Bananas From Outer Space. The 2-minute piece, which was directed by Abel Sánchez and Paulo Mosca, includes a modest amount of animation, but it’s beautifully designed, and often traditionally animated, frame-by-frame. The team used both Flash and Toon Boom to finalize the video, which includes an animated cameo by Lemmy from Motorhead. [NSFW - nudity]

Melbourne’s very own David Blumenstein (Nakedfella Productions) has partnered up with Wade Studios to produce a new TV spot for PC Tools Performance Toolkit, an antivirus software package. He’s also a new episode of his series The Precinct which we’ll post here when it’s available. Stay tuned….
