Are we already on episode 9? Seems like just yesterday when Dick Figures was a tiny animated series, running naked around the backyard, flipping off the neighbors (sigh). In Role Playas, Red and Blue are recast as Sir Maroon and Cerulean the Wizard, who encounter an ogre, Lord Tourettes and the Evil King Richard Figures the Long Shaft en route to saving Pinkcess from the castle. Just when you thought it was safe to drive your house down the street again, Baman Piderman returns! After 12 mind-bending episodes in 2009 and 2010, the Flash-animated series written and directed by the wedded couple of Lindsay and Alex Small-Butera is back for season 2. New episodes will arrive monthly on the Mondo YouTube channel, and here’s the season opener.

Flash animator Nathan Mazur was the animation muscle behind the 10 million view YouTube sensation Do You Like Waffles? It was a music video for Nerf Herder lead singer Parry Gripp’s song, and something cool happened after that. Here’s Mazur’s recounting, “recently, Arby’s contacted us about doing an ad for them. I jokingly suggested we rework the waffles song and make it for roast beef, Arby’s main food item. Turns out, that’s exactly what they were looking for.”

Joseph Troy sent along some info about a new Flash-animated TV series called Almost Naked Animals, which premiered on Canada’s YTV back in January. It’s animated at 9 Story Entertainment, and it’s been in the development pipeline as early as 2006. The show, which was created by Noah Z. Jones, is directed by Brad Ferguson.
