Dragon Age: Legends, EA’s popular Facebook game, includes an intense opening cinematic that was animated by none other than Adam Phillips. It was animated over 48 days using Animate Pro 2.
Last year, we saw some clever folks turn the Xbox Kinect game device into a motion capture tool. Now, the Swedish team at X-Com are using connect along with Flash to render some rudimentary character animation. I’ve never been a big fan of the results of motion-capture, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon, but it’s an interesting application of the technology.
Mr. Coo creator Nacho RodrÃguez has teamed up again with Gina Thorstensen for a new music video project. Mixing Flash-animation with bitmap skins, stop-motion and puppets, the pair produced this 4-minute video for the track Bla bla bla by Jumbo.
TomSka, aka Tom Ridgewell, watched his last asdf short ring up over 15 million views, so making a 4th one was probably not a bad idea. His latest installment was animated by Ben “Wonchop” Smallman and few popular YouTubers lent their vocal skills to the project, including Arin “Egoraptor” Hanson and Edd “Eddsworld” Gould.
