She spent 14 months on her 3-minute gradutation film, titled Rococo, laboring on lavish environments in Photoshop, and subtle animation timing in Flash. The timing is a bit on the sluggish side (perhaps just in the middle), but the environments and enjoyable twist at the end make for a strong short. [NSFW - tasteful nudity]

He’s built a sizable following in the furry community, and on sites like FurAffinity. He started making this particular Aztec-themed short back in 2008, and recently hit it big on Newgrounds, where it’s currently ranked #1 on the All-Time list. I also spotted a making-of video he posted last year.

Much of the animation process was traditional (flipping paper and such), but the crew at Walt Disney Animation Studios used the enterprise-grade Toon Boom package Harmony to bring it to the screen. In fact, many of the Annie-Award-winning effects were “paperless” – drawn with a Cintiq right into Harmony.

It’s Budovsky’s second collaboration with the German pop artist Jim Avignon. Back in 2007, they partnered on Jukebox, which utilized drawings by Avignon.
