Fred Figglehorn, or as he’s known on YouTube, Fred, has risen to immense popularity, both on TV and the web. He’s the creation of Lucas Cruikshank, and the Nickelodeon premiere of Fred: The Movie drew in a whopping 7.6 million viewers. I liken the character Fred to Steve Urkel or Gilbert Gottfried – we love to hate them. The latest creation to come from the Fred franchise is a Flash-animated music video created by Nick Bachman and Ben Bury. The track is titled Tater Haters:

The fellas at Dice Productions produced this Flash-animated music video for Dan Bull’s tribute track Lennononandonandon. The late John Lennon would have turned 70 this month, and his widow Yoko Ono recently unveiled a plaque in London commenorating his life. The video below celebrates his music and ideals, and it’s even received praise from Ono herself.

This new music video is the result of a number of animation efforts – traditional animation, Flash animation and After Effects compositing and effects. It’s for the song Lets Go by the Irish group The Japanese Popstars featuring techno artist Green Velvet on vocals. It was produced out of Colonel Blimp and directed by David Wilson, who also had a hand in the traditional animation. The primary illustration work in this shape-shifting piece of eye-candy was delivered by Keaton Henson.
