Cartoonist Dave Cooper has teamed up with animator Nick Cross to create a new music video. It’s for the track King of Magazines by Toronto rock band Danko Jones. Cooper created the story, designed it and then handed the production over to Cross, who brought in Steve Stefanelli to help animate. All produced in Flash. (might by NSFW – sexually suggestive)
Cooper’s style has been translated in Flash before – by Steve Whitehouse. Remember Bug, Bird, Goat? Spotted at Cartoon Brew.
Funnypages Productions has produced a Flash-animated music video for the band Relient K. Tom Bancroft and Rob Corley, longtime Disney Feature Animators, handled the script, storyboards, designs and layouts, but turned to a distributed team of animators from across globe. The video is titled Sleigh Ride.
We’ve pointed you to Rafa Toro’s beautifully designed work in the past, and he returns today with a new music video. The song is titled Inside a Boy from the band My Brightest Diamond. Toro designed and animated the video in Flash and then composited in After Effects.
Wired.com called Joel Trussell’s latest animated music video “a crude Flash exorcism of the singer’s personal and political demons.” Bite your tongue, good sir! The singer referenced is Jakob Dylan, whose album Seeing Things his the shelves back in May. We take great umbrage with these comments, and found the video lacking all things crude. What say you?
On the heels of his music video for band Denelian, Anton Bogaty has just released a new animated piece. It’s a music video for the band Weight of Atlas, who hail from Portland, just south of Seattle where Bogaty resides. The track is Take Me and to accompany the Interpol-esque audio, Bogaty has crafted a heartbreaking visual tale of a love-lorn boxer.
You can see some development art for the video at Bogaty’s blog.
