Theft is the title of Victor Preto’s graduation film from Sheridan College’s animation program. He used Flash to produce this 2:30 minute short about a hungry raccoon who choses the wrong house to seek food from.

Jacob Streilein’s 2nd year film from his studies at CalArts is a boiling, post-apocalyptic film called Swelter. Water is scare, but tension is not in this dialog-free, 2-minute short, which Jacob produced with Flash, After Effects and Photoshop.

Barone’s Student Short – Tough West

Here’s Henrique Barone’s latest film from his studies at the Vancouver Film School. It’s titled Tough West, in which you’ll see Barone’s very firm grasp on background layouts, composition and color. A critique I’ll toss in – the short isn’t quick on the draw. We linger too long on the opening shots, and don’t keep the pace throughout. But a solid film – congrats, Henrique!
