Meet Sean DePew, an artist hailing from New Jersey, but currently attending University of the Arts in Philly. His most recent Flash-animated film is titled Roybot, a window into the passionate soul of a horny robot.
Kyle Boyd, a storyboard artists and character designer living in NYC, recently saw his series W’s World launched on Super Deluxe. A second episode of this Flash-animated series is due out soon.
Louis de la Taille, whose work was featured here last summer, has released a new, unfinished animation. It’s a clip from Un Grand Garcon, a short he produced in February of 2006. It features strong character design, smooth acting, and a sexy moment (NSFW – mild nudity). De la Taille trained at Gobelins, the French animation school.
Nate Pacheco, one of the more talented artists I’ve had the opportunity to work with (he’s a fellow JibJabber), recently finished the title sequence for a project called The Big Magic Book. It’s a collaborative effort between Ryan Belgarde, Nate, Peter Michail and Ann Walker, who drew the storyboards. The Big Magic Book is a puppet series, but the title sequence below was animated in Flash.
Read more about the project over at Nate’s blog.
Grant Orchard, animator who studied at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, animated a beautiful TV spot for ITV Mobile last year. Orchard makes his living doing adverts for companies like Compaq, Volvo and Virgin, and he’s represented by London-based Studio AKA. For this spot, Orchard employed XSI, After Effects and Flash.
