Bogaty Swarms to Nanovor Series

Anton Bogaty recently took over animation and design duties on a new web series called Nanovor. It’s the spawn of the free Nanovor Online Battle Game, which was created by Jordan Weisman from Smith and Tinker. Dustin Haynes and Chris Rogers contributed to the production as well. There’s CG animation splashed around the series, which is handled by Coleman Smith.

Anton Bogaty has been quite the busy man. Last week, we posted his new music video for Daniel G. Harmann’s song Dee. He’s also just released a new short film, titled Gumms. It’s a story about an aging artist who creates comics for a Bazooka-like company.

Camp Chaos Prepares Unga Bunga Banana

For Fremantle’s (American Idol) web and mobile channel Atomic Wedgie, Camp Chaos’ Bob Cesca has embarked on a new animated series. It’s titled Unga Bunga Banana, and it stars “a weird antagonistic critter with big goggles who loves to wreck havoc wherever he goes.” Cesca created the series along with John Christian Plummer, and then he invited two of my favorite artists to join him in the production. Bob directed the series with Anton Bogaty who also animated the series. Both Bogaty and Joel Trussell helped Cesca with character design. The first episode, which you can see below, is titled Cheese Pants.

Weight Is Over For New Bogaty Video

On the heels of his music video for band Denelian, Anton Bogaty has just released a new animated piece. It’s a music video for the band Weight of Atlas, who hail from Portland, just south of Seattle where Bogaty resides. The track is Take Me and to accompany the Interpol-esque audio, Bogaty has crafted a heartbreaking visual tale of a love-lorn boxer.

Bogaty Pulls Off a Summer Heist

The Seattle-based band Denelian apparently liked what Anton Bogaty did last Fall for their It’s Nothing Personal, We’ve All Got To Eat music video. They’ve since invited him back for another round, this time for their song Summer Heist. This Flash-animated video features a high-speed chase worthy of a summer blockbuster, or perhaps it’s more of a Bonnie and Clyde vibe. Either way, Bogaty delivers splashes of humor and high-octane intensity all mixed into a touching love story.

Anton Bogaty is building quite the library of animated shorts. His work, which can be lighthearted (see IG-88: The Dancing Robot), is marked by haunting silence and suggestive, sinister imagery. His latest is the 5th installment of a series called Tales of Mankind. This episode is titled A Black Hole of Negativity, which leaves many holes for the viewer to fill in.

As announced here a week back, the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge was recently held at AtomFilms. CHF regular Anton Bogaty took home some hardware for Best Animated Movie for his short IG-88: The Dancing Robot.
