Check out this beautiful short produced at Dancing Diablo. Lineboil.com contributor Dan Forgione was the animation director on the piece, which was produced for Sesame Workshop. It’s titled Spike and Bubbles.
Adult Swim and the indie record label Ghostly International have teamed up to bring 19 free downloads to the web. The first and last track of this compilition were then animated in a video called City Suckers staring BoyCatBird, which was directed by Jessica Milazzo and Daniel Garcia. Backgrounds were done by Liz Artinian, and the Flash animation team included Chris Siemasko, Nick Bertonazzi, Dan Forgione, Dave Haines and Anne Witbeck.

A teamed led by director Frank Drucker recently created a couple of animated commercials for Huggies, the disposable diaper. The two Flash-animated spots are for the Huggies Cleanteam products, and the project was produced by IBC Digital and Edgeworx. The music video, titled Reporting For Dirty, is currently playing in theaters in front of Horton Hears a Who and other family entertainment films.
The animation team features a handful of New York’s finest, including Mike Carlo, Dagan Moriarty, Matthew I. Jenkins, Sal Iovine, Soonmin Chung, Thomas Smolenski and Dan Forgione who also headed up the animation team.
Brooklyn-based creative studio Dancing Diablo worked alongside Deutsch NY to promote the Bronx Zoo. Together they created six :15 commercial spots, which were animated traditionally in Flash by Dan Forgione, and the work was then exported into Painter to add the watercolor style. The elements were eventually composited in After Effects by Vanessa Rodriguez. Lead painter Reginald Butler led a team of color artists and Leonardo Rodriguez designed the characters.
