posted by admin, 5.04 PM

The popular Japanese TV series The Frogman Show is headed to the big screen. Created by an artist who goes by the name Frogman, this Flash-animated series has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon in Japan, with a book, appearances in ads and fan art. Adobe, the company behind Flash, has even written about the program.

And according to Zen Tobinaka, the man behind FlaGama, Eagle Talon is coming to theaters this week. Below is the trailer.

Asahi Taps The Frogman Show

posted by admin, 6.02 PM

The Japanese television network TV Asahi recently added a Flash-animated program to its lineup. It’s called ‘The Frogman Show,’ a 30-minute program which I believe is animated by one guy - Frogman. I’m fairly certain the writing is the draw here, as the animation is highly simplistic. The program seems to be made up of various shorts, some part of a series. The shows are owned by Tokyo-based Dream Link Entertainment, according to this informative post over at f*#ckedgaijin.com.

Frogman’s work was unknowingly written up here last summer, when Japan’s mobile network Flux was covered.

Below are two shorts from ‘The Frogman Show’ that are available for podcasting here.
