The fine folks at Ghostbot recently produced an animated music video for Loter Inc’s lifestyle brand Good Girl, Bad Girl (aka GGBG). Roque Ballesteros handled the animation direction, while Sam Chi, Tony Cliff and Happy Tree Friends co-creator Kenn Navarro handled animation duties.

Ghostbot Boots Up CTRL+♥+DELETE

Alan Lau, Roque Ballesteros and Brad Rau, the Ghostbot guys, have fashioned a new animated series. The pilot for CTRL+♥+DELETE premiered this past weekend at Comic-Con in San Diego, and it features a toy robot, Presston, who has true, unrequited love for his companion Penny.

Ghostbot Makes Party For “Weird Al” Yankovic

It’s well known that “Weird Al” Yankovic is an animation fan, and in the past he’s paired up with a number of small animation houses and individual animators to help produce his music videos. This trend continues for his latest album, titled Alpocalypse, released two days ago. As it turns out, Yankovic is a fan of the Happy Tree Friends short Mole in the City, which was produced by the gang at Ghostbot. So for the track titled Party in the CIA (a parody on Miley Cyrus’ Party in the USA), Yankovic invited Ghostbot director and co-founder Roque Ballesteros to direct the music video. Here’s a clip:

In the wake of the W!LDBRAIN office closing, Phil Robinson and his new company Special Agent Productions have gotten off to a strong start up in San Francisco. Along with co-founder Amy Capen, Robinson has been hard at work on the Flash-animated Esurance campaign, which has been all over the ol’ telly these days. Here’s the most recent spot, titled Hidden Camera, which was produced in conjunction with Ghostbot.

I am driving down the coast here in a few hours to hit preview night, and I’ll surely drop by the Ghostbot booth (#4203), at which time I will begin grilling them about this new original property – Little Lost Ghost. It stars Miss Fit, a mysterious character searching the galaxy for her way home.

Erin Esurance Carves Up the Competition

While the Esurance team may be distracted by their recent coupling with the upcoming Star Trek movie, they haven’t stopped pumping out adventures for pink-haired Erin Esurance. This latest ad, titled Mission Savings, takes Erin to the slopes – on skis. We were pretty certain she favored snow boarding, but she’s apparently fond of both. The animation is overseen by Wildbrain, and produced by Ghostbot.

In between their work on Happy Tree Friends KA-POW! episodes and Esurance spots, the Ghostbot crew knocked out this 2-minute promotional short for Tongal.com. This competition website is aiming to officially launch soon, which will provide artists and filmmakers a new way to produce 30 second commercials and instructional videos for companies and brands.

New KA-POW! Episode is Super Splendid

The Happy Tree Friends spin-off series has spun out Splendid. The latest 3-minute adventure from Mondo Media has launched, and it features the well-intended superhero Splendid, who has been redesigned for his new starring role. Roque Ballesteros directed and his pals at Ghostbot handled the design, storyboarding, layout and animation. This episode of Splendid’s SSSSSuper Squad is titled Mirror, Mirror, in which we meet Splendid’s arch nemesis – Splendont!

The animation team included Roque, Sam Chi, Tony Cliff, Alan Lau, Brad Rau, Joel Reid, Jayson Thiessen and Kris Toscanini – and I spotted my pal Chris Battle on the layout team. Great work, gang.
