As discussed here in May of 2007, a Happy Tree Friends console game is due out this year. Slate for a Spring 2008 release, SEGA’s Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm game will be available for Xbox 360 and for PCs by way of digital download. The game leads, which include series co-creator Kenn Navarro, Sega producer Martin Caplan (inset) and writer Ken Pontac, have been posting regularly to a blog about the production of the game. Below is the latest game teaser.

In other Happy Tree Friends news, it is being reported that the Russian government has put pressure on 2X2, an adult animation network to pull the Flash-animated series off the air for being too violent. And I thought the US media was up tight.

Eric Pringle’s Prophet Buddy series has spawned a Valentine’s Day episode titled A Valentine’s Treat. In this all new episode, Mouse gives Cat a gift from the bottom of his heart… or at least his bottom.

Allan Dye got all mushy on us this Valentine’s Day - well, if you consider giant, people-chomping lizards romantic.

Just when you thought Valentine’s Day couldn’t get any bloodier, Happy Tree Friends came along:

In many countries around the world, it’s ski season. Here in California, some resorts are buried under several meters of new snow, so its perfect timing to brush up on ski safety. Lumpy, one of sacrifical souls on Mondo Media’s blood-soaked Happy Tree Friends series, hosts this 5-minute instructional video titled Ski Patrol that teaches us “the ropes of the skiing the big slopes.”

KLATT! le chien (BURST! the dog), is the brainchild of Alexis Vokaer, a 28-year old Belgian animator. The two-episode, Flash animated series is reminiscent of Happy Tree Friends - you know the blood is coming, but you watch to see how it will all go down. Here’s the pilot episode titled La Baballe.

Happy Halloween from Cold Hard Flash! As usual, the animation community has delivered a sackful of animated treats for our viewing pleasure. Thanks to several of you who submitted (and posted in the comments below), we’ve got a bumper crop this year.

Happy Tree Friends, the immensely popular, Flash-animated series from Mondo Media, is set to spawn a video game. Happy Tree Friends False Alarm, an action-puzzle game, is slated for an Autumn 2007 release and it’s currently under development by Stainless Studios. It will be available for Xbox Live Arcade and PC download.

Fall Out Boy, the pop-punk band from Illinois, has teamed up with the gang at Happy Tree Friends for their lasest music video. Carpal Tunnel of Love (graphic cartoon violence) is off their new album Infinity on High, which was just released this week.

Mondo Media brought in Fatkat Animation to bring the video to life. It’s no wonder - Fatkat animated all sorts of episodes for the HTF television series which airs on G4 TV. We featured an exclusive episode from the TV series along with a creator commentary back in November of last year.
