Hope everyone had a good Easter break (if you got one). Here’s Eric Pringle’s Easter episode from his online series Prophet Buddy. It’s titled Prophet Bunny.

Support Eric’s series and buy a screen-printed Prophet Buddy t-shirt. Like an Easter egg, it comes in hundreds of six colors!

The Chinese animation studio b&t Animation created this short for the recent holiday season. This Flash-animated piece features BoBo&ToTo, the stars of Swallowtail Butterfly. Okay, it’s a little late, but it came all the way from China, for crying out loud!

Damn the calendar - the holiday season is in full-effect here at CHF. We were out in the week leading up to the holiday rush, and missed a few great holiday-themed Flash-animated shorts.

Chris Georgenes, the man behind mudbubble.com, brings his daughter Andrea back into the recording booth for another holiday short. Back in 2006, she wrote her Christmas list, but this year it’s time for a song:

Tiny Inventions, a children’s entertainment development company, crafted this holiday-themed short using characters from their pre-k property In My Bag.

The irrepressible Pascal Campion animated a Flash-animated holiday short welcoming in the new year.Eric Pringle’s series Prophet Buddy debuted a holiday short that explores two of the religious groups that celebrate in December.

And the gang at Weebl’s Stuff created this unusual twist on the Christmas holiday - Mr. Christmas Pudding For a Head.

Seattle-based Plexipixel has delivered something we could probably all appreciate - calm. Their Flash-animated holiday card is titled Let it Glow! Let it Glow! Let it Glow!. This 2-minute short was directed by Matt Tamaru, written by Tom Dougherty, produced by Vicky Tamaru and animated by Gene Blakefield and Tim Blair.

The holiday season typically sees a flood of great holiday animations, and this year is no different. Here’s a pile of shorts and even one interactive piece…

Perhaps the most unique one is from Angel De Franganillo at antiheroe.com. It’s a Santa operation kit - slide his clothes off, drop the scalpel on his chest and start removing parts. Hey! I didn’t make it - don’t shoot the messenger elf.

The gang at Mukpuddy gave Santa a few drinks before animating this card…

Peter Slattery’s holiday card needs a preface - his clan takes part in a holiday challenge each year, and for the 2007 holiday season they had to make a commercial for mince meat.
Joseph Troy, an animator at 9story Entertainment in Toronto, Canada, created this one:
And here’s a link to Joe Corrao’s card, and one from Pileated Pictures.

If you’re like me, you spend a great deal of time each year building your holiday cards for all your various friends (really thankful for self-adhesive stamps). Jonathan Topf focused this year on his family, creating an animated holiday card, titled Mistletoe for his father’s UK-based graphic design studio - Christian Topf Design. Jonathan tapped his friend to draw the characters, which were then traced into Flash, animated and then edited in Premiere.

Here’s a high-quality Quicktime version.

Adult Swim recently posted an online video list featuring the Top 10 Adult Swim Christmas Moments, and amongst the list is this little gem from the Flash-animated series Squidbillies (which is set to launch 20 new episodes starting in January ‘08). In keeping with the holiday spirit, this clip is titled Scrotum Fishhooks.
